Return & Refund Policy


Thanks for shopping at Blue Crab Quilt Co). If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help. 

Returns

• You have 7 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
• To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
• Your item must be in the original packaging.
• Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

**Fabric, Machines,& Embroidery Designs are non-refundable.

Shipping


You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non­refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

Class Policies

1. Class Fees must be paid at the time of registration. You can register online, in store, or over the phone. Space is reserved on a first come, first served basis.
2. Class Minimum is 4 students, but can vary with different class offerings and techniques. Bernina of Richmond/Blue Crab Quilt Co reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class based on low participation.
3. If we must cancel a class due to lack of participation, the class fee payment may be transferred to another class fee or refunded to the customer. 
4. A refund of store credit is only provided if you cancel 7 days prior to the start of class. If the cancellation is less than one week, no refunds will be given unless we can fill your spot from a waitlist (provided there is a waitlist for said class).
5. If you sign up within 7 days of the class, the above policies still apply. 
6. Children, friends, family, or pets may not accompany anyone to class without paying the class fee also.
7. Supply lists will be given out at the time of registration via email. If one is not available at that time, you will be notified via email when it comes available. 
8. Students are required to bring a sewing machine in good working order to with basic sewing supplies (see below) to each class unless otherwise noted. 
9. Each student must have a legal copy of the pattern or book used in class. 
10. If help is needed in the selection of class materials (i.e. fabric, thread colors), please schedule a time at the shop prior to class. 
11. Class will start on time, so please arrive with enough time to unload your machine and set up. 
12. No cell phone use during class, please keep all electronics on silent. 
13. In the matter of inclement weather, we follow Henrico County Public Schools on closings. You will be informed of any changes or cancellations via email.
14. No refunds for "no shows" on the day of class. 

Event Policies


1. Event Fees must be paid at the time of registration. You can register online, in store, or over the phone. Space is reserved on a first come, first served basis.
2. If Bernina of Richmond/Blue Crab Quilt Co must cancel an event due to lack of participation, the event fee may be transferred to another event, another class, or refunded to the customer. 
3. Refunds will be extended for event cancellations prior to 90 days before the beginning of class.
4. We are unable to extend refunds within the 90 days before our events due to events costs such as educator travel, hospitality, catering orders, etc. 
5. If you sign up within 90 days of the event, the above policy still applies. 
6. Children, friends, family, and pets may not accompany you to events without paying the event fee.
